Sentia is built privacy-first. The short version: your writing never leaves your device unless you choose to export it, and we have no servers and collect nothing.
Nothing. Sentia has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We cannot see your entries, your moods, your check-ins, or anything else you write.
Everything you create stays on your device, in a database that is encrypted at rest (SQLCipher, AES-256). The encryption key is held in your device's secure keychain/keystore.
If you create a backup, it is encrypted with a passphrase that only you know (PBKDF2 + AES-GCM) and saved to the location you choose. We never receive it. Keep your passphrase safe — it cannot be recovered.
Sentia works fully offline. The only times it touches the network or other apps are actions you initiate:
The optional daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. It contains no personal content and involves no server.
Sentia is a personal journal suitable for general audiences and collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
